Our Story

The World Is Full of Wonder

And wonderful things! Some are made by human hands. Others have been waiting in the landscape for thousands of years. Some are found in crowded markets, tucked away in little workshops, or carried home from places we never expected to visit.

The world has an extraordinary capacity to surprise us.

Caminho grew out of a life spent making art, traveling, and collecting encounters with the extraordinary. From the earthy ceramics and carved wood of Brazil to the woven textiles, metal work and embroidery of Morocco, we're fascinated by the ways people transform the materials around them into objects of meaning.

But our fascination has never been with objects alone.

There is something remarkable about the way beauty reaches us. A painting can hold us in place. A landscape can leave us speechless. Something made by a stranger, thousands of miles away, can feel strangely familiar and unlock something within.

These encounters do more than please the eye. They can change the heart. And a changed heart sees the world differently.

That possibility is what gave Caminho its purpose.

Caminho means the way in Portuguese. It speaks to a journey that unfolds within us. One in which beauty and wonder can awaken the heart and transform the spirit, challenge the limits of our perception, and change the way we encounter the world. Caminho means to walk a path of magic and light, of peace and love and joy.

Today, Caminho brings together original art, design, and objects gathered from around the world. We gravitate toward natural materials, extraordinary craftsmanship, and things that refuse to be ordinary.

We're building a world where art and daily life aren't separate pursuits. Where the things we live with have a presence for good. And where the people who make them matter as much as the objects themselves.

We're just getting started.
